For over 140 years, Zig-Zag has been known for crafting world-famous rolling papers. In 2009, we expanded our product offering to satisfy new demand for a different type of roll - the wrap. Zig-Zag Wraps became an instant hit thanks to our high quality tobacco leaves and industry-leading processing.
As wraps have become more popular, we have continued to expand our product offering - from our original Cigar Wraps, 'Rillo Sized Wraps and Cones to our soon-to-be newest addition, Natural Leaf Wraps. Making the best Natural Leaf wraps begins with finding the best tobacco leaves and farmers in the world. Our answer to this came in a farm on the northern island of the Philippines called Luzon.
Our farming partner is a storied one, and has been perfecting tobacco cultivation for decades. The tradition and experience of Filipino farmers have guided and nurtured our products by ensuring the consistent growth and quality of this complex plant.
Golden Leaves
THE GENESIS
Partnering with Filipino farmers gives us access to a leaf variety that is not available anywhere else on Earth. The particular leaf native to the Luzon farm is called the Genesis Leaf. This is an exclusive leaf only found in the fields of this northern Filipino island.
The Genesis Leaf is a pride and a tradition of this region, so much so that the leaf is not traded or distributed anywhere else. The care and attention the tobacco plants receive in their cultivation have resulted in a superior leaf perfectly suited for wrapping and smoking.
Each Genesis Leaf is inspected and hand selected from the plant to be prepared for cutting. Once ready, the leaf is carefully hand-cut to size and packaged so as not to damage it. The result is an unparalleled smoking experience that brings you closer to the plant than ever before.
